One thing you’ll see me do a lot is mix prints, but the other thing is atypical color combinations. Navy is the new black this season, but ALWAYS AND FOREVER will be #inmycloset. 🙂
Navy is nothing new to me – I’m a Virgo who loves it. A lot of them do, in fact. So I have tons and tons of navy blue in my closet. But what I love to do with it is pair it with something that, if paired with black, would actually NOT look as good.
This salmon-colored shirt is a prime example. I wanted something to really pop with the navy blue, and when I saw these 2 together on accident in my closet, I was like “oooooo!” This is probably going to be one of my favorite Spring outfits.
Style Tip: When I’m out shopping, I don’t buy entire outfits hardly ever. They say you should – I hardly ever do. I have a different approach! I think of shoes I love wearing and then I’ll buy like 4 shirts that match them or compliment them and vice versa – if I have a favorite pair of pants, I’ll go out (or online) that day with one goal in mind – find 5 shirts to go with the pants. This diversifies your wardrobe QUICKLY, and gets you out of just buying shirts 5 times a week or month or just shoes. Buy in sessions for specific items – it’s a strategy! 🙂
