Black, Dark-Wash Denim, & A Totally Chic Pair of Glasses

Every woman needs a dark-wash pair of denim jeans.

They just work. For everyone - men and women. And they're professional, comfortable, and give a whole different effect & vibe than light wash denim does.

Here are some benefits of dark-wash denim jeans:

  • They're slimming - they work similar to a black pant or legging would in that that elongate the leg by sheer essence of their color. It's brilliant how this works.
  • They're professional - dark-wash denim is a great "Friday in the office" pick because it's not at all slouchy-looking whereas some other washes can look bad to wear for professional meetings. Light denim is definitely less professional and gives by nature of its color a more "relaxed" vibe.
  • They're complementary - there's not much that doesn't look good with dark-wash denim. They go with any and everything possible.

I paired my dark-wash denim jeans with a black sweater to keep it warm and "winter-ish" feeling, but dark denim looks good with any color. :-)

Then, because the shoulders have brass, gold, & copper tones and accents on them, I mixed caramel and bronze-colored accessories to accentuate those details - this is not about "matchy-matchy" - it's about coordination.

I love the eclectic mix of gold tones! Mix in some gunmental, throw on a pair of super nerdy, cat-eye glasses and you're good to go with a boss-lady look for the day.

You could wear this outfit to meet with clients, to do some light shopping, for a meeting, work, or a night out. It's very versatile. You could add a scarf to it, a jacket, and more. So many options.

I hope you enjoy this look - thanks for being here!
